Fateful Rendezvous at Sable Island
Fiber rush, wood, data, 2014

The Perfect Storm was the result of two storm systems (The Halloween Storm and Hurricane Grace) interacting with one another, creating ocean conditions that lead to rogue waves of 80 feet and wind gusts of up to 80pmh. This piece tracks the sinking of The Andrea Gail during the night of Oct 30, 1991 near Sable Island, a fabled place known amongst mariners as the Graveyard of the Atlantic.
